Asking Siri

You can ask Siri to open any section of Arelo using natural language. Examples:

• “Hey Siri, open Arelo”
• “Hey Siri, open my favorites in Arelo”
• “Hey Siri, show nearby stops in Arelo”

Siri opens the app to the relevant screen. Real-time arrivals load as soon as the app is on screen.

Shortcuts app

Arelo exposes actions to the iOS Shortcuts app so you can build automations. Available actions:

• Open Arelo: launches the app to the last-viewed screen
• Open Favorites: goes directly to your saved stops
• Open Nearby: opens the Nearby tab and finds your closest stop

Shortcut ideas

• Add an “Open Arelo Favorites” shortcut to your home screen for one-tap access
• Trigger “Open Nearby” automatically when you arrive at a saved location (using a personal automation)
• Add Arelo to your morning routine shortcut alongside weather and calendar

Setup

No setup is required for basic Siri commands. They work as soon as Arelo is installed. To build a custom Shortcut, open the Shortcuts app, tap +, search for Arelo, and add any of the listed actions.
